Looking to get family photos done in 2024?

Well, great news!

In June 2024, I’ll be spending a few weeks in Newcastle, UK and would love to spend time with a selected number of families as I look to grow my portfolio and expand my visual creativity in how I capture family life.

This COMPLEMENTARY photo session is an opportunity to get professional photos of your daily family life documented in whatever shape & pace that looks that is unique to you.

But first, what is Documentary Family Photography?

Basically, there’s no posing. No direction. Just unembellished, honest moments of you and your family just as you are.

During the session I look to capture images that show connection, personalities and the ebbs and flows in your everyday family life. I’m not a complete fly on the wall as I do still like to interact with your family, but what, when, how you do things is completely up to you.

All you have to do is just be you.

** IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO GET PORTRAIT (POSED) OR LIFESTYLE  (SEMI-POSED) IMAGES, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.**

What you get.

Price: Complimentary (Value of £450)

– Pre session video call.

– 2 hour in-home professional family documentary photography session.

–  5 complimentary edited high-res images of your choosing with the option to purchase additional images from the full gallery.

Who this is for.

TO APPLY YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a child(ren) between the ages of newborn-10 y.o.

  • Excited about having unposed, real-life family photos of your loved ones.

  • Willing to sign a contract & model release so the images from the session can be used for online & offline marketing purposes (brochures, website, portfolio, etc…)

  • Happy to complete and submit the form below.

  • Live in Newcastle, UK.

Who I am.

I am always looking for opportunities to develop my creative practice and these portfolio sessions allow me space and time to experiment with different techniques.

How can I use light differently? What layers can I play with? How can I tell this story better?

These are just a few of the questions I enjoy playing with and pushing myself to explore a bit more during my time with you.

Potential questions you may have…

WHAT TYPE OF FAMILIES ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Each family has their own unique journey and I would love to share a diverse range of what family life looks like, feels like, loves like.

I warmly welcome families who have members that are neurodiverse, disabled, LGBTQ+, POC (People of Colour), blended or rainbow families. Of course, if none of these apply to your family, you will most definitely still be considered for selection.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL THESE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

Families have to reside in Newcastle, UK but in terms of the environment, the majority of my sessions take place in-home as I often find this is where family members are most comfortable. If your family is selected and there are other nearby locations that you have in mind, we can discuss them during our call together.

ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?

No. While my normal fee for this package is £450, this is waived as it is a model call/portfolio session and I will be experimenting with different types of shots which I normally do not do on my regular sessions.

The full price applies for any additional digital images you would like to have.

HOW WILL THESE PHOTOS BE USED?

These images will be used for promotional purposes online  (i.e. website, social media, competitions, etc..) and offline (i.e. brochures, flyers, print product samples, etc…).

WHAT IF THERE ARE A FEW PHOTOS I DON’T WANT TO BE USED.

If there are any sensitive images that you would prefer not to be shared on a public platform, you can let me know and we can discuss them. I want to make sure you are comfortable with the images that I use.

I’M WORRIED THAT…OUR HOME IS TOO MESSY/WE DON’T HAVE THE “RIGHT” WARDROBE/IT’S TOO CHAOTIC, ETC..
These images are made for you, not anyone else. My goal is to capture meaningful, tender, joyous, real moments of your everyday busy and unique life. It is not about looking, being or dressing a certain way. All you have to do is just be you. I’ll do the rest.
I DON’T MEET THE REQUIREMENTS BUT KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT. CAN I SHARE THIS WITH THEM?
